Lynda Emashowski,MS,DL, clinical plantologist, having studied under La Dona Dora DeLaVasquez and Tom Brown,Jr. opened up her clinical practice 35 years ago. She has taught herbal medicine at Frontier Herbs, N.California Women’s Herbal Symposiums, Berkeley, Breitenbush, and has mentored over fifty apprentices. Traveling across the country to personally hand pick the herbs used in her preparations is one of her trademarks.
Using the skill of Iridology(the reading of the iris of the eyes)Lynda matches plants to the individual, designing personalized herbal remedies. She has had working herb shoppes in the Adirondacks, the Sierras, and now in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her current apothecary is located in Big Sandy Mush and hosts over 250 plants in various forms comprising of teas, tistanes, tinctures, glycerides, salves, honeys and waters.
Lynda has authored Whispered Wisdoms of the Moon, and applies this moon medicine in running her herbal practice. Along with plants, her passion is teaching and she strives to make a difference in the lives of others.
