I have been messing around with silk for 15 years, I took a class and was hooked. I dropped my painting and let my imagination run wild with ideas for silk designs. I design my silk works with ideas that I like and the color combinations that I think will make my design pop and make me smile. My designs are whimsical and basic, so the dyes can be treated like paints to mix colors and create depth.

Everyone needs silk in their lives! Silk is a luxurious fabric that dyes beautifully in vibrant colors and drapes in silkiness. I draw designs on the silk, dye the silk by painting the fabric, and steaming them to set it the finish.

These pieces are washable. I have scarves (which can be used for table runners), bandanas, belts, throw pillows, and pillowcases - every woman should be sleeping on a silk pillowcase!
